Eclipse Special Edition

We’ve confirmed that some book retailers are selling the Eclipse Special Edition (with the first chapter of Breaking Dawn, a limited-edition poster of the Cover Art and “Team Edward and “Team Jacob” T-shirt transfers) before the official U.S. release date of May 31, 2008. Because of our spoiler-free policy, out of respect for those who don’t have the book yet and what we’ve been told is the official release date, we ask anyone who has the book early to please refrain from discussing the content until May 31, 2008.

We do not want to punish anyone for getting the book early because you didn’t do anything wrong and we don’t know how or why some book sellers put it on the shelves before the date everyone was told the book would be released, but we do want to do everything we can to make sure no one gets spoiled. If you haven’t pre-ordered the book, you can order it at Amazon.

Seth posted a statement from Stephenie about the speculation and let everyone know the first chapter of Breaking Dawn will not be posted there at the same time the Eclipse Special Edition comes out.
