Twilight fans brightened the director’s dull rainy days.

There is a new article out about Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, and the filming of Twilight. It mentions some changes Catherine had made in the script so the movie would be more like the book also says a little something about some of the fans.
“Honestly, I was pretty flabbergasted,” says Hardwicke referring to the hardcore fan base. “I hadn’t really heard of the book until I got the script. But it didn’t take me long into the filming to realize they are out there.”
In fact, their zeal proved to be an incentive while filming in the rainy cold dampness of Portland this winter and spring.
“In a way knowing the fans were out there cheered us up,” Hardwicke confirms.
