It’s Monday! As promised, the authorized spoiler is here! It’s available exclusively at Entertainment Weekly. If you want to be spoiled by Stephenie about Breaking Dawn, go… read.. now… are you still here? If you’re hesitating, here is Steph’s original announcement:
“We only have a few days until the release of Breaking Dawn. To reward all of you for being so patient, I have confirmed exclusively with Entertainment Weekly one thing that happens in Breaking Dawn — and it will be posted at EW.com on Monday. As you all know, I’m against spoilers, but I know there is a desire for ANYTHING about the book. But please proceed to EW.com with caution. This is truly the only thing I am comfortable with being out before August 2nd, so this in no way gives anybody free reign to post spoilers. Let’s keep the rest of the book secret — we can do it!” –Steph

I was thinking that 1 of 2 things had to happen. She either had to get married or be changed. I think didn’t think it would be possible for neither of those things to happen.
I wasn’t sure if both would happen. Now I’m a little worried she might not get changed. I’m so excited to hear about the wedding

I am so glad to hear that they are getting married. I am with im4edward, as long as they end up together in the end I don’t care if Bella is changed!

I. AM. SO. EXCITED. Okay, that doesn’t even cover it. I’m so happy they’re getting married!!! Since it’s early on in BD you know there’s going to be all sorts of things that will still happen in BD. This is going to be on exciting book!!!!! HURRY UP FRIDAY!!

yay!!! this are awesome news!!! i’m sooooo happy… as long as they’re married i don’t care what else happens.. if she gets changed or not doesn’t matter to me anymore… I’m sooo excited i can’t wait.. I want it to be Friday already..

So happy!!!! Even if Bella didn’t get changed, she and Edward will be together, pledged to each other. Forever… (wipes away a tear of joy)…
I’m betting on Alice that she will get changed, trusting that Edward will keep his word and believing that Bella will stick to her decision.

I knew deep down inside that the marriage would become a reality (hello – check screen name!! hahaha) … now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that she is changed as well — though I am becoming less and less sure that it will be Edward who will do the changing …. I’ll keep my fingers crossed though!!

Okay… call me a skeptic… NOBODY wants them to get married more than me!! (Okay, maybe a few of you feel as strongly! Hee hee)… But let me just say this…
She said she wrote a WEDDING scene… she never actually said they got married. I have a feeling someone or somethin thwarts the marriage… like perhaps the Volturi shows up right before the “I dos” are said. Or perhaps the minister says, “Is there anyone present who has reason to feel this marriage shouldn’t take place?”, that Jacob or Billy Black will speak up. Then again, if Emmett is acting as minister, that isn’t likely.
But anyway… she never actually says they get married… she just talks about a wedding. I’m just trying to protect my feelings here… I don’t want to be let down!!
And what the heck does it mean when they say, “Everybody wins. Even Team Jacob.” How does Team Jacob win???? I’m still hoping he imprints on Angela or something just so that they can maintain their friendship without threats.
GAH!!! I can’t wait!!!! Friday night can’t get her soon enough!!!!!

Wow, she doesn’t actually say they end up married, I agree mceeh. She has said (in the past) it’s all tied up in a big red bow (paraphrasing), so maybe it was just her wording this time. *I HOPE*
Yeah, I don’t quite understand the Team Jacob thing either. Maybe it IS a subtle hint to imprinting. It would make Team Jacob happy that he found someone. Bella & Jacob discuss him finding someone when she goes to see him after the newborn fight, so I wouldn’t doubt it. That may actually be a little awkward. Reading that. I am used to him being into Bella for so long. lol

I had always wondered if the wedding wasn’t going to happen pretty early on in the book and then the main plot action would be all the stuff that happens between then and Bella being changed. Glad to have my first theory at least confirmed!

I think they’ll end up married early on in the book. How awesome would it be to fight off the problems that will come as a married couple like the rest of them. How much more at ease Bella will feel knowing that he’s hers forever.
I think that Team Jacob is happy because either he imprints of Bella doesn’t turn into Bella vamp. I’m hoping for the latter.

Stephenie – Thank you so much for the “spoiler.” I was pretty certain the wedding would take place mostly because of Alice, and, of course, “I’m betting on Alice” also. This bit of news will keep me going until 12:01 a.m. on August 2. Thank you – thank you – thank you!

When she says “everybody wins, even team jacob” I think she’s referring to the whole paragraph preceding which talks about how lucky we are that the book was even published. As if to say, no matter who your rooting for, we’re all winners because we get to read Breaking Dawn (this weekend!!!).
I think the wedding is actually the marriage, not just a ceremony.. but who knows what will happen after they’re man and wife. hmmm.

what a bummer it would be if something gets in the way of that! GAHHHH! now i’ll worry about that till i can get my book home friday night and start reading! doing the happy dance….. and then trying not to hyperventilate at the same time!

I was so afraid to look at the article, so I had to peek at the comments here first. Phew glad to have good news. I’m doing a happy dance around the room. I had faith though that we’d get our wedding, so I’m not completely surprised to read this. But I am ecstatic to get the news. Thank you Stephenie. Now I just have to have faith that Bella will be changed as well. Only 4 more days, Yipee!!

I think if it was just a wedding scene she wouldn’t have wanted it at the beginning of twilight originally. I bet they really do get married and she just had to wait and tack it into book 4 instead of book 1 like she originally wanted. Plus I think she knows how many upset twilighters there would be if they didnt get married

Meyer promises that the wedding takes place early on in Breaking Dawn.
I’m unsure b/c these both are pretty much indicating the wedding is going to take place. The actual wedding…and then the wedding takes place early in the book.
At the same time it could be ruined some how etc… So Confused

1DRTWINS: I totally agree! Someone try to stop me from reading the ending first! I know that is probably horrible and it violates all kinds of book etiquette…but I am so excited I’m afraid I won’t make it if I don’t find out the ending first. It will help me live through the rest of the book
I am super excited about this spoiler, although I did kind of expect the wedding…hopefully everything goes well!

Ok I didn’t actually want to read the spoiler because I wanted to wait to read it as it happened in the book, but I couldn’t resist! And I’m glad, cause I’m crying tears of joy now!!! Wish #1 of my 3 has been granted!! (The other two are that Bella and Edward “try”…well you know…
and that Bella gets changed to a vamp) And since the wedding takes place towards the beginning of the book, my other 2 wishes just might have time to come true!!!!

I am excited that the wedding takes place and I HOPE that they actually get married. I noticed that too about it not saying they are married..that it’s just a wedding scene she is very careful with her wording. SM is no fool. I hope and cross fingers that they end up married as well. If she is a girly girl (as she stated) then they most likely will. What is every girls dream but to be married. (well almost every. Maybe they don’t get married at the wedding, but do at some point later. Who knows? I sure don’t.
I’m so bummed about that I will be in Florida on family vaca on the second. I will be all couped up reading and my family will miss me lol.

That is really interesting. It could be that something happens at the wedding (?Tanya/Jacob?) and they don’t get married right then. Could be they end up doing it their way in the end… Vegas!

Here’s my guess, call me crazy: They get married, consumate the marriage and Bella gets pregnant. They’ve pretty much made clear that a vampire has never had sex with a human before (in SM’s vampire world, anyway) so who knows what could happen? They might not have blood or tears, but they have venom and their mouths water, so mayber there is, um, another bodily fluid left behind
Though I want Bella to change, I would also love to see them as parents. I’m nuts, I know.

I, unfortunately, heard a BIG spoiler to this book before I read it and I was so sad about it! LUCKILY the book was still amazing and i just loved it!
