Just a couple of other blog worthy items for you…
On page 53 in the July 28th issue of People Magazine, “Meyer’s Summer Reading List” features Stephenie’s personal recommendations of books to read this summer while we are anxiously awaiting the release of Breaking Dawn August 2nd:
- Anansi Boys
by Neil Gaiman. Steph says, “People have been telling me for years to read him. I finally listened.”
- War and Peace
by Leo Tolstoy. Steph says, “For the first time in five years, I’m not under a deadline. Tolstoy is next up on my Kindle
reader.”
- The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
by Mark Haddon. “Quirky, funny, and fascinating.”
- The Mysterious Benedict Society
by Trenton Lee Stewart. “This is what I’m reading to my kids at night, and we’re all enjoying it (for the second time).”
Thank you Lisa 314 for the heads up on this!

Wonderful interview! What you said about setting one’s standards of the ideal guy to Jacob is so true — thanks so much for putting that into perspective. We will always want and carry in us the wonderful fantasy that is Edward Cullen, but again, you’re right — finding one’s ‘jacob’ is one of the best blessings a person can ever have.

That was such a great interview! I think you are a great representation of the all around qualities of every single one of the TM’s. You really do understand my point of view on all things Twilight and once again I thank you for starting such a great place for all of us to share our love and facination with the Twilight universe. Great minds do think alike.

If you’re planning on reading Anansi Boys, you must read American Gods
also by Neil Gaiman 1st. Anansi Boys is a spin off from that universe
created by Neil Gaiman. It will help w/ some confusion in plot, etc.

Love the interview Lisa! Very eloquent.
BTW, I read The Curious Incedent of the Dog in the Nightime 3 years ago and would recommend it to everyone! Very good!

What a fun interview to read! I don’t know how I missed this before!
I enjoyed hearing your perspectives, Lisa … especially about Edward being unrealistic. What you had to say was very insightful, and a lesson that I think we all need to hear at times.
Now if only “I” could find a Jacob …
