Live from the big apple… it’s me, Lisa!!

I can’t believe I’m really here. THANK YOU SO MUCH every one of you who donated money and time and prizes and everything.  They put together a list of all your names for the drawing. You all are going to make me cry just sitting here thinking about what you did for me. I just saw that some of you are still donating, so I promise to check right before the podcast and anyone who donates between now and then, I will MAKE SURE your names get put in.

So while there’s this part of me feeling like crying because you all are just too cool, there’s this other part of me that really feels like crying because I’m thinking ‘what did I get myself into?’ Getting from the airport to my hotel in NEW YORK CITY, was just so-SO- SOOO, just wow! I’m here, I’m really in New York. Did I mention I’ve never been to NYC before? There’s this ‘panel’ thing tomorrow. When they asked me for someone from TwilightMOMS to help host it, I thought- heck yeah! That will be so cool! There are all these awesome East Coast moms, one of them will be so great on it. I wanted to have Lisa 314 do it.    Hmm, we have the same name… maybe nobody will notice if she does the panel in my place tomorrow, errr, today, I mean… It’s like after 3 am here  but I’m wide awake cuz this city really doesn’t ever sleep and I can’t sleep thinking about tomorrow. There’s gonna be trivia.  Trivia!  AmyO and Whiteclover, I need you both! Can we put one of those ear thing-a-ma-jobs in my ear and you guys could listen to the questions and whisper the answers to me whenever I get asked anything because I’m gonna be focusing hard not to say ‘like’ all the time, so I need help! My hubby was teasing me before I left about the news stories that came out today, err, yesterday, where they quoted me and I guess I said ‘like’ a lot and he says that’s, like,  how I, like, talk in, like, real life.  Hey- I got a good idea. Let’s have another TwilightMOM contest!  Everybody make a guess about how many times I say ‘like’ tomorrow and whoever comes closest without going over wins!

I think the trivia questions are gonna be really tough. Kallie and Kassie are, like, really, really smart. Just the name of their website sounds smart. Twilight Series Theories.  Don’t you think that just oozes smarts? It even rhymes.  I just spell checked rhymes to make sure I got it right.  Have you ever listened to their podcasts? Both Kallie and Kassie have these really cool Texas accents, too.  They sound good and they’re really smart.

So I noticed tons of electronics stores everywhere.  I think I’ll go out early tomorrow and find one of those ear things. If one of you could track down AmyO and Whiteclover for me and get one of both of them hooked into my ear by noon I might draw your name out of the hat even if you didn’t enter the drawing.

Really, I’m excited to be here and happy to meet all the East Coast TwilightMOMS.  There’s really just this one little teensy thing I just found out about that’s gotten me a little bit nervous (besides the trivia, that really does make me a little nervous, I wasn’t just joking about the ear thing- I would like a lifeline like they give you on that game show…).  So this thing that’s making me a tiny bit anxious for real is that, well, you know Larry Carroll?  MTV?  Twilight Tuesdays?  Yep, MTV is covering the panel.  They are going to be there, reporting about it and interviewing us and I think some of the MTV reporters are even going to be on the panel with us now.

*Better go look at that agenda they sent me again*

Really, I just wanted to say ‘hi’ from the Big Apple and THANK YOU for sending me here.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  I’ll try my best to blog and twitter and share.  Listen to the live podcast for the drawing.  I brought some of the things some of you donated for the gift basket with me and everything is really cool and beautiful.  The winner will be very happy!
