Rallying for one of our own…

To me the best part of TwilightMOMS is the friendships I have made. Don’t get me wrong, I love the discussions, the gushing, the interviews but it also so much more than that. It is the beautiful women that I have come to know and love. Some of these women I have had the opportunity to meet, some I haven’t but there is a connection there that goes beyond Twilight.
As a member of the site from almost the very beginning I’ve had the opportunity to watch those friendships grow between other people as well. It’s been beautiful to watch these bonds develop. Quite a bit of the time they are people that live in the same geographic region, simply because they can get together more often so that bond becomes more solidified. Pictures of TwilightMOMS gatherings fill me with joy- it’s one of my favorite forums on the whole site.
So it fills me with sadness when I learn of one of these beautiful women that I’ve watched develop friendships and seen pictures of at gatherings is ill. Shari (LadyPhoenix4) has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Shari is one of our Chicago TwilightMOMS. I haven’t had the opportunity to meet her but from what I’ve read from her and about her she is an amazing woman. I’m going to share with you something that Lisa (bluestem) one of her fellow Chi-Wi MOMS (as they’ve dubbed themselves) had to say-
We as a group believe in this group; and we believe that there is enough spiritual power here for there to be a change in universal energy for Shari’s health.Shari has been a tremendous influence on us through her dedication to “Team Carlisle”. Shari has led us through the rigors of personal challenge in varying aspects of our beings, ranging from dietary, philosophical, generational, fiscal, physical or cultural adjustments. The motto is based on the character of Carlisle Cullen: “Like everything in life,
I just had to decide what to do with what I was given”For a party we held on “Bella’s birthday” Shari and her family opened up their house to us and hosted 40 Twilight Moms for a big party. We are looking forward to re-grouping for the movie premiere and are deeply disappointed that Shari may not be able to be fit to join us at that time. Beyond that, though, we are concerned for Shari being able to share her life with her children and husband and friends through this setback.
We are simply asking now for the thoughts, prayers and dedications of every TMom who reads this on Shari’s behalf.
Wow! Even if you’ve never interacted with Shari, by reading that you can tell what a special woman she is.
So, what’s the point of this post? We are asking for you, no matter what your beliefs, to take a moment and think of Shari and her family. We are asking for positive thoughts, prayers, dedications, fasts, whatever you want to do, in behalf of Shari and her family. We are a board of 16,000 members- think of the power behind that.
We have a thread set up for Shari in our Life and Family section HERE. Please stop by and let her know you’re thinking about her.

Amy-
Thank you so much for the wonderful words and the support for Shari. She really is an extraordinary woman and I am honored to know her. I posted this in the thread as well, but I’m awed that we can all come together to support one of our own like this. I believe in the healing power of positive energy (I saw it in action when my mom had major surgery) and want to again thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

I have been blessed to get to know my fellow ChiWI Shari this year. She is an amazing woman and a great friend. I can honestly say that any TM would love her if they got the chance to meet her. As a new mother, Shari has spent a lot of time in the last month supporting me and helping me with adjusting to motherhood. She is just literally a ray of sunlight and I am a better person for knowing her.

Thank you so much for reaching out to our fellow TM’s to ask for good thoughts and prayers for our friend Shari. As a newer ChiWi, I have only known Shari a short time but she had touched me so. Just 2 days before we heard the news, her and I have a private conversation about some things happening in my life. She was understanding and caring, expressing that she understood what I was going through and encouraged me to participate more in her Team Carlise excercises.
There is strength in numbers; please continue to pray for Shari and her family.

Shari is truely a good person and deserves each and every good thought and prayer sent her way. I’ve known her, so far, less then 3 months and she’s already had a huge positive impact on me. Shari – you have my positive thoughts behind you
