I like Kristen. I think she did a good job as Bella and it must be such a challenge for someone as young as her to take all of this in stride. BUT…someone has got to help this girl with her interviewing skills. She looks disinterested and bothered. I am sure a lot of it is maturity but isn’t there someone on her management team that could help???

I could not agree more with Michelle. Please someone tell her to take the gum out of her mouth too. I have seen some interviews where she does OK but definitely not consistently. Perhaps this is why they had Rob doing way more PR for the movie?

I think it’s important to remember that Kristen is only 18 and has been thrust suddenly into the Twilight spotlight. She is not used to that type of attention or scrutiny.
These last two interviews that we’ve posted have both been at Sundance which has a very casual atmosphere so her relaxed manner is appropriate. I think that Kristen has improved greatly in her interviews over the last few months as she has adjusted to the pressure the fans put on her.

Yes, you do have some good points, Amy, but let’s compare two of the stars of Twilight: Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. In any interview I have seen him he is relaxed yet engaged and he is only 16. He never looks “put upon” or tired of the same old questions. That comes with their jobs. I am sure some of it is personality differences and I do think she has improved, maybe its confidence? But regardless of where you do an interview you ought to show a bit more respect to the person asking the questions and to the fans who you know will eventually see you.
