USA Today: 2009 the Year of the Werewolf

USA Today has an article discussing the multiple werewolf movies coming out in 2009.  Naturally, New Moon made their list.  The article features a small interview with Chris Wietz in which he discusses Taylor’s portrayal of Jacob and what makes the Twilight Saga so successful. 

The backdrop of the Twilight books might be a gothic fantasy, but the filmmaker sees his characters as expressions of emotional attitudes shared by young people. “One of the great things of Stephenie Meyer’s novels is that she keeps them very grounded in the real world,” Weitz says.

    I’m sorry, Stephenie doesn’t keep them grounded in the real world, I live in a fantasy world now thanks to her!! and I am lovin’ every minute of it!!
