Breaking Dawn gets a green light?

According to TheWrap, Breaking Dawn the Movie is a go.
With the sequel to the blockbuster hit “New Moon” now filming in Vancouver and its sequel, “Eclipse,” already deep in the planning stages, an individual close to the production has told TheWrap that work on the fourth and final in the series, “Breaking Dawn,” will start in late spring 2010.
Please note that this has NOT been confirmed by Summit Entertainment so at this point it is a rumor.

Great!!! I know Rob has stated he committed to three movies, but at the time Breaking Dawn hadn’t been published. I think it will make a terrific movie. They will have to finalize soon as Rob is getting older and cannot play a 17 year old for long. Twilight Moms let’s keep our fingers crossed this isn’t just a rumor!

There is no way this is true. Summit won’t commit until they know how well New Moon does. I heard from someone I know close to the Summit people that we need to see New Moon 1 more time than we did Twilight in order for them to make Breaking Dawn. Makes sense seeing how much more complicated Renesmee will be and how much more visual effects there will be. Not to mention how much the actor’s salaries will be by that time – especially if New Moon does really well.
I want them to make the movie, but we will be waiting until New Moon is released to find out for sure.

Well, I really do hope this is true but sadly I don’t believe it is. My thoughts are…. Summit will be holding out on a final decision to make Breaking Dawn to see how well New Moon does. I do of course think Summit has been considering doing Breaking Dawn but I don’t think they are ready to make that final decision yet. Well I went to see Twilight twice in the theater and I’m sure I’ll end up seeing New Moon a few more times than that- so hopefully if everyone goes to see New Moon at least as much as they went to see Twilight and maybe a few times more and with new people to the Twilight Saga seeing New Moon, hopefully it will be enough to push Summit to make Breaking Down. So right now I’m just really excited for New Moon and I guess we’ll just have to wait and see about Breaking Dawn.

I agree with Mandy. New Moon will need to exceed the Twilight release. However, so much more interested has been generated by the public since Twilight’s release that I cannot believe it would not surpass the expectations of many. I fully believe that Summit will proceed with Breaking Dawn. I only wonder if Summit will make Breaking Dawn into two movies.
I also agree with FoxRox that Robert Pattinson will not be able to pass for 17 much longer. He is still young but in a year or two that youthful look will fade a bit. I stopped getting carded when I turned 30, so maybe he has a little time left. lol

I agree that it’s doubtful summit will commit to BD un til they see how NM does. Hopefully it does fantastic as i’d love love lve to see BD on the big screen. To see the wedding, Esme Island, Bell pregnant, renesmee need i go on. Well i guess we just have to go and see NM more than TW – i don’t have a problem with that do any of u ladies.
