Edward Cullen or Robert Pattinson?

In an interview with Teen Vogue Miley Cyrus made the following statement-
“I’m not a huge Rob Pattinson fan. Girls aren’t really in love with Rob; they’re in love with Edward.”
I’m not posting this so that we can have a Miley bash-fest… her comment has brought up a valid question. Are you a fan of Edward, Robert or both? This is a topic that can be very polarizing. Even among the TwilightMOMS admin team we have very varying opinions. I’ll be brave and go out on a limb and say that I’m not a huge RPattz fan (ducks flying tomatoes) BUT I think he did a fabulous job as Edward. Where do you stand on the Edward vs. Robert argument? Let us know!!

I think I am a fan of both. Edward was written to be a certain way….Rob pulls that off nicely but I do think Edward would be different if someone else had played him. I love Rob’s other interests as well, his music is my fave of those other talents….he is a great musician! I also think Rob is totally hot!

Well I’m team Edward all the way! Rob Pattinson is nothing like him in real life. I would have Edward over Rob anyday

I personally enjoy Rob, he looks like a very down to earth person, and of course very handsome. I gather from the comments of his colleague’s, he seems to have A LOT of talents we have not yet seen….but waiting. I loved that he brought Edward to life, and will continue doing so for couple of years….but I would really like to see more of Rob as himself and see his other wonderful talents.
We’re waiting Rob….sing your heart out….love the voice!

Robert.
Beautiful locks, smoldering eyes, lovely accent, and hysterically funny. Yet he exudes the “bad boy” image but comes across so innocent and shy in interviews. I think it is clearly the mystery of “who is Rob Pattinson?” that is so sexy. May he always keep me guessing!

I must say its Robert with that BEAUTIFUL smile that would make you melt,and those sexy eyes,and his personality alone would do it I think he is adorable and is such a down to earth person….we all need a Robert in our lives…..:))

I very much love Robert. I respect his guitar chops and his ability to dig so deeply into a character.
I would love to just hang out with him, he seems like a very interesting person and not a Divo at all.
He is very witty and like to laugh which is very cool.
To me he seems like a person who would like different books that most people have not read, and music that some people never heard of.
But mostly I love his music.
I would love to collaborate, he is very soulful.
Edward Cullen is very special. he is the dream-vampire.
he is the one that dedicated to one girl , and we all want to be that one girl…

Edward is my total fantasy man! After reading the excerpt of Midnight Sun on Meyer’s website, I thought that Robert totally brought that character to life exactly as I pictured him.

Robert Pattinson – Edward is a fictional character brought to life by Stephenie Meyer’s pen and nothing more. Of course the books are beautifully written to portray first love, undying love, and what one would go through in order to keep that love. But to dream that this man is Edward is ridiculous.
The man, Robert Pattinson, however, seems like a very talented young man. I am glad he is able to use his crafts to do the things he enjoys. It is unfortunate, however, that he is unable to walk down the streets without being hounded by photographers, and so called journalists making up any story to sell papers, mags, etc.
He is a very, very sexy man and his lips looks lusciously kissable, and his eyes I have but one word – beautiful. Oh to dream of being a beautiful woman for whom he sings, plays guitar and/or piano, jokes with, speaks to and kisses…

I love them both, but if I had to choose I would say Edward. Rob seems to be a bit more easy going and comical ( I like that too). However, Edward could make me do anything he wants & I’m a 35 year old TWIMom. I can’t believe how obsessed I am with this series and all the terrefic guys. Only time I’ve ever wished to be about 20 again.

i agree i am obsessed with twilight. i am happily married and i have a fantasy about edward its crazy..rob is cute and yes i would love to be with him….its crazy i dont know why i am thinking this way…

Of course it is this luscious Pattinson creature. The books are quite lovely and such a delicious ride … but Edward Cullen is a mythical teenage vampire too tormented to properly seduce his love. That is fabulous for the teenage Twilight crowd, beautiful message of abstinance. But, I am not a teenager and I would trade the gallant Mr. Cullen for a romp with the disheveled Pattinson ANYTIME!

However appealing Edward is to the world of females. I am on the Pattinson wagon. The accent is just adorable, but he seems like he is a very down to earth person. Then of course there is the “melt-my-heart” smile. I could never resist a great smile!

I adore Robert Pattinson! No one could have brought the character of Edward to life like him. True, he is quite dreamy but in real life it seems that he is completely down to earth and humble. I love his sense of humor and think he is a true artist.
