MTV wants to know which vampire would win in a showdown-
In one corner, the bleached blonde “Buffy” vampire punk. In the other, the mysterious Edward Cullen of “Twilight” fame. So what happens when vampires clash and only one can be left standing?

Hmm…..I would have to agree with Marsters in that interview. Spike would win.

I would say that if they both had the same powers then spike would DESTROY Edward, but with the super speed and stuff i think Edward would probably kill spike after a close fight…. Either way I would be sad though. Haha

I’m a die hard Edward fan, however I would have to agree with James…wow that sounds weird James was killed in the first movie..LOL. In this situation I think that Spike would win, he loved fighting and torturing his victims, he is a number one Bad Boy. Edward is still the pretty boy with little fighting experience against his own kind. (Sorry Rob, we still love you)

HUGE Buffy fan and LOVED Spike, but Edward does have one slight advantage over him, being his annoying at at times mind reading ability. That ability seems to give him the upper hand in most battles/fights he has throughout the Twilight series and he fights with Jasper who is pretty equillivent to Spike as far as experience!! I’m going to go with Edward only slightly. It would be close. Although, what they are fighting for is also quite important. If Spike were defending Buffy or Edward were defending Bella, that would change the dynamic of the fight. I think I’ve put way too much thought into this one.

Err…. duh…. I am a huge Spike fan and always prefered him to even Angel, but he doesn’t have super hard skin so, he would LOSE. Poor Spike.

I’m a Jacob gal my self but I still think Edward would win. With his ability to read the next movement before it happens – Edwards the definite winner.

Being the fighter that Spike is, I think he’d used Edward’s advantage against him. Spike would win.

As much as I love Edward, Spike would win. He is older (been vampy longer) and also is not a nice guy. He is not above fighting dirty. Spike would be singing “It’s a Small World After All” in his head to drive Edward crazy and block the mental advantage…that is how nasty he is. lol

This is so funny–I am cracking up that James Marsters is weighing on this. My first response was Spike just because he was so evil but I think I have to agree with the above posts that Edward would/could definitely outsmart him with the mindreading talent.

Well, I have a LOOOONNNGGG list of reasons Spike wins, but the #1 reason is Spike dies to save the world from the apocalypse(AND comes back to life later on in Angel), Edward NEVER does anything NEARLY as cool!!!

i love both spike and edward… but seriously? though Edward has very many special powers and all, spike is so more experienced, cooler.. and better!!!! go spike… spike would win!
