New Moon Not so Great for Some

According to one student who attended the school where New Moon was shot – “The Twilight fans who wish scenes from New Moon had been filmed at their school should think twice. I know I speak for other students at David Thompson secondary school in east Vancouver as well when I say we are so glad the New Moon crew has gone.” The student goes on to discuss how the school day was interrupted in order to make the film. The students had to take detours to avoid filming spots and were not allowed in the cafeteria for two days. To read more check the article out!

The student sounds like an angry person. The cafeteria being shut down for “2 whole days” doesn’t sound that bad to me.
Of course, I am not there, but remember high school, we were always looking for diversions to break the regular day-to-day of school. Even if I had not liked the book, I would have been jazzed to have my school used to film a blockbuster movie.
It is too bad that she couldn’t just “go with the flow” and enjoy it while it lasted.

I 100% agree with you Meagan. I remember when I was in high school looking for something to do other then going to the lunch room. Some aren’t the same apparently it rocked her world upside and couldn’t deal.

I’m really surprised this girl felt so strongly against New Moon being filmed at her school. I remember back to high school and I would have loved to have a movie being filmed at my school, it would have given a much needed break from the norm. I really don’t think it’s awful that she couldn’t eat in the cafeteria for 2 days- I’m sure the school provide another area to eat and I’m really don’t think it was that big of a deal that students had to take different ways to their classes for a few day. These things sound pretty petty and insignificant. Just my 2 cents….
