Please see this post at the Twilight Lexicon regarding the rumor floating around the internet that Stephenie Meyer is being sued by a former roommate. They stated it much better than I ever could.

Too funny! Did you know that the actor that played Peter Benton, Eriq LaSalle, is from Hartford, Connecticut just like Stephenie?

That picture is totally fitting. I can’t believe the things that people believe and all the crap that gets posted. The Peter Benton rumor added a nice touch. LOL

I just did a little “investigation” into that article, and the woman, Anne, who uploaded that “story” to the Insider runs a site called ineedmyfix.com, where that story is also posted. I checked out her “about” page, and apparently she’s willing to post any kind of rumor that any idiot posts on the internet without confirming it as fact or fiction, whithout any regard for the kind of hurt it can cause. I know if someone was accusing me of plagarism, I would be deeply hurt, especially if my supposed “fans” were stirring the rumor mill without bothering to do an investigation.
Anyway, I didn’t bother looking further into where Anne originally got the article. I just think the entire thing’s ridiculous.
