The Twilight Examiner Examines the New Cast

Posted on 17. Apr, 2009 by in News

The Twilight Examiner just posted a great, in-depth article examining the reasons the newest cast members were chosen.

the results have varied, [but] most Twilight fans are pleased with the choices, it seems. A few have said that they think perhaps some of the casting was good, but that the role selection was off (for instance, by stating that Jamie Campbell-Bower would have made a nice Alec).

One thing we can know is that there is a mix, here, in the rationale behind the selections.

Reading through it reminded me where I’ve seen a few of these actors before, and impressed me once again with Summit’s casting.

I think the cast is looking wonderful, people who can probably carry the storyline into the next two screenplays–if there is a Breaking Dawn ever written/filmed.

My only problem is the $5M for Mr. Sheen. I’m sure someone else would have worked. They started with, and are continuing with, several lesser-known (even unknown) actors. The majority of that money could have been spent on other things. I hope he’s got a good line of credit if he runs out because of that decision.
