Michael Copon on Jacob Black Role

In keeping with the recent theme of people who didn’t get Twilight roles, ReelzChannel asked Michael Copon about the role of Jacob Black.
It was a tense back-and-forth during casting, but we all know who got the role in the end. Copon told me he really, really wanted to get the role, but that he is happy for Lautner: “There are no hard feelings between Taylor and me — we are friends.”

Thankd GOD Taylor kept his role.
Michael Copon is nice looking and all, but he does NOT have Jacob’s personality like Taylor does.
Copon seems quite full of himself (which I know a lot of people in Hollywood are), but Taylor has that Sunshine in his personality and his smile that is Jacob Black.
It would have ruined the whole Saga for me (the movies, that is) if they would have replaced him, especially with Michael Copon. He does not have the personality, plus he looks way to old to play a teen, even one who is supposed to have the physical body of a twentysomething year old.
Taylor has competely captured Jacob, since he has been working for this part. He has the body of a twentysomething year old, and his face is now very handsomely chiseled, too, but it is still young enough appearing to look like the teenager that Jacob is.

I have to agree. Is there any other person who could play Jacob like Taylor? I think not. He’s perfect. I’m glad that he is returning.

I watched the whole thing unfold myself from the beginning with the whole Facebook comment and myspace post from his “girlz”. And I was SOOO SUPER RELIEVED this guy didn’t get the part! Seriously… don’t get me started!

i disagree with every comment here….sorry….. Taylor looks like a little kid to me- he’s the only person whose casting I disagreed with…………..i think MC would have been an awesome Jacob!
