Nikki Reed will be in Italy but will Rosalie?

Nikki Reed revealed to MTV’s Larry Carroll that she will be in Italy with the rest of the cast and crew but have no fear, Rosalie is not making an unscheduled appearance in Volterra.  Nikki explains her reasons for going to Italy-

“Because I am sort of obsessed with that portion of the book.”

When asked if she would like to have Rosalie added to the Italian scenes Nikki was very adamant that she does not want that to happen-

“Absolutely not,” she promised. “No. I feel so strongly about them sticking to the books.

“In fact, there was a scene in a very early draft of the ‘New Moon’ [script] that they had invented that was not in the books,” Reed revealed. “And there was a discussion, and that scene is no longer in the script.”

She then went on to make this statement-

“If you are worried about how to please the fans, you will fail if you don’t stick to the books.”

Isn’t it reassuring to know that the actors care about the books as much as we do?

Nikki sounds like a serious fan of the books. New Moon is my favorite & I can’t wait to see all of intense emotion played out on film. The anticipation is killer!

I agree with Danie– I think it’s great that she seems to really care about the books. If I were her, too, of course I would want to go along and watch the movie being filmed in Italy! I would not want to miss out for anything!

I am not sure if that is her real reason. Is she going to share a room with Robert and Kellan. Per Kellan’s interview with E he said that he will follow Robert to Italy even if he is not going to film during that time. I think Nikki is doing the same thing just wanting to hang out with them vs. keeping track of every aspect of the movie or book.
