A Pattinson vs. Franco Showdown

Posted on 15. Jun, 2009 by in News

A few days ago I posted some great sources about the upcoming Jeff Buckley film and Rob being considered for the role. ABCnews.com has recently posted an article on who they think the role of Jeff Buckley should go to so I thought some of our readers of the previous blog entry would be interested in seeing this one as well. According to ABC, Pattinson and Franco are the front runners for the job. What are the two actors up for?

The Role: Jeff Buckley, son of musician Tim Buckley, got popular in the ’90s playing cover songs in the East Village before focusing on his own material. In 1997, Jeff accidentally drowned in Memphis at the age of 30. Since he only had one studio album, several songs were released posthumously, including his cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” which earned him chart success over a decade after his death.

Wanna see who ABC thinks will come out on top? You’ll have to read that little tidbit for yourself.

Is Rob even interested in this role, or has he enough on his plate right now with everything else he’s doing?? My guess is that he’s busy enough, but that’s just my guess ;D

I think Franco will fit the role…. I have loved James since the Freaks and Geeks days.

Even though of course I would love for Rob to win, just for the sake winning…you’ve gotta agree that James Francos resemblance is amazing! It’s almost kinda spooky how similiar they look…
