Coldplay on New Moon Soundtrack?

This little bit of info popped up over at Coldplay’s official website-

Q. Dear all-knowing Oracle
I heard a rumor that The Scientist by Coldplay (obviously) was going to be on the New Moon soundtrack. Is this true?

The Oracle replies:

It’s very likely that a Coldplay song will end up on the soundtrack to the Twilight sequel given that Stephenie Meyer has credited Coldplay, amongst others, on the inner sleeve for “being instrumental in staving off the writer’s block”.

There has been no official statement from Summit but what do you think of Coldplay being on the soundtrack? 

Their songs Fix You and The Scientist are both on Stephenie Meyer’s New Moon playlist.

    I think Fix You is the PERFECT song for Jacob and Bella in New Moon, I so hope it is included in the movie. And I ‘ve always liked that The Scientist was on Stephenie’s playlist for New Moon, probably because it is the one song that she says is supposed to be from Edward’s point of view. I would LOVE to see Coldplay on the soundtrack!

    YES!!!!!! These Coldplay songs are perfect! Fix You really sets the mood of New Moon. Coldplay’s music should be in all 3 upcoming Twilight saga films!
