Mike’s time on the big screen as Mike Newton got a boost due to Kristen and Taylor’s persistence. Check out the full article on MTV.
“Kristen [Stewart] and Taylor [Lautner] had to lobby to get this one scene in the film that wasn’t originally in — and I am forever indebted to them for that,” revealed Mike Welch, citing a beloved moment from Stephenie Meyer’s “New Moon” novel. “There’s a scene that’s in the book, the three-way date between Jacob and Bella and Mike, where Mike ends up getting sick, and it’s just very awkward.”

Still can’t believe this scene was almost not in the movie!
It’s one of my favorites:Jake really lets loose with some humor,confronts and taunts his remaining rival and states his intentions regarding Bella. Not to mention that Stephanie wrote it with such humor and at the same time such sadness.
Thank you Taylor and Kristen for going to bat for your characters and the fans!
