MTV’s Larry Carroll chatted with Peter Facinelli about his Twitter bet-

Peter Facinelli is part of the hottest franchise in Hollywood. He’s married to the beautiful Jennie Garth. He gets to walk the red carpet at events like the MTV Movie Awards.

So why does he want to watch a grown man dance in a bikini — and how can you help?

If you have a Twitter account — or were thinking about getting one — the affable actor is asking you to follow him (@peterfacinelli.). With mere hours remaining in a wager that has swept across the Twitterverse, the “Twilight” actor spoke to MTV News about his unorthodox bet, whether we’ll ever see him in a bikini and how one lucky fan can someday clone their very own Robert Pattinson.

    Although I don’t particularly see the appeal of Twitter – being such a big fan of Twilght and especially all of the movie cast, I did my part and signed up to follow Peter Facinelli. For anyone doubting about adding this to their many lists of pages and updates they already get, I found out you don’t actually have to subscribe for updates via text on your phone. You can just sign up for the account and view your Twitter page over the web and not be getting any charges for text messages. I know the point of Twitter is to be up-to-the-minute, but I kind of feel like I only want to be up-to-the-minute on people I actually know who might need to get me in a rush. Otherwise, Twitter to me is kind of a cute curiosity. But, if you love movie collectibles, that chair back would be really awesome for someone’s collection and the only way to have a chance to win it is sign up on Twitter!
