Stephenie’s MySpace is gone- R.I.P

Stephenie Meyer has updated her site with the information that she has deleted her MySpace page. She also reminds us all that she does not have any other cyber networking pages- No Twitter, No Facebook, etc. Her official site is the ONLY site that she will be using to communicate with her fans.
A quick fyi: I am taking down my bloated myspace page. It was a lot of fun while it lasted, and I really miss the early days when I could hang out with people online. Many of you are hilarious and insightful, and I wish it was easier for me to talk to everyone the way I used to.
With the myspace no longer in existence, I can now clearly state that—beside than this website—there is no other outlet where I communicate with people online. I do not have a facebook page, and I have never had one. I don’t do twitter. So if you’re communicating with someone online that you think is me, it’s not.
Stephenie has softened the blow of her MySpace page’s demise with a book recommendation-
Hope you all are having a great summer so far! If you’re looking for some beach reading, you might try Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series
if you haven’t already. My son finally finished book five
yesterday so I could read it today. It was a fantastic end to a fantastic series. I tip my hat to you, Mr. Riordan!
XO

Oh wow …..
This is sad news… I kinda liked having her on my friends list.
I’m glad I sent her messages to let her know how much I loved her books … not sure if she ever saw them, but I’d like to think that she did!
I’ll just have to check her website more frequently!

That was not a nice B-day gift from Stephenie. I always checked her site for music.

I love the Percy Jackson books! Ive been waiting for a recommendation from somebody, anybody. LOL I knew it would happen.
Ive read all 5 multiple times plus the Demigod Files companion book, which has 3 short adventures in it. It fits nicely between books 4 and 5. My oldest son has finished thru book 4 and we are eagarly awaiting the movie.

I used to go to SM’s MySpace and just tell her how much I admired her. I felt like I was talking to her. No More.
It is very sad, like a best friend leaving…
