The Movie Fanatic wants to know who is Hollywood’s Next Golden Boy and not surprisingly Robert Pattinson is one of their choices. The other options are Emile Hirsche, Zac Efron and Shia LaBeouf. You can vote here.

I kind of wonder what they mean by “golden boy” here. If they mean box office success, I think RPatz, Shia and Zac already qualify on that account $$$. I am not as familiar with Emile H.’s work. Since Shia has been around so much longer (he is a Disney phenom and now veteran of many excellent movies) and Zac is a Disney phenom and proved he can carry nonmusical movies as well, they should probably not be in the same category with newcomers RPatz and EH. I would think a “golden boy” would be a newcomer who may be the next big boxoffice draw.

Well, thank you for posting this- I just went and voted. Placed my vote for Rob of course!
I definitely think Rob qualifies as Hollywood’s Next Golden Boy. Everything Robert touches is genius.

I agree, what is the definition of “golden boy.” It definitely should be Emile Hersch. But, I would be happy with anyone that is NOT Shia LeBoeuf his public person repulses me as much as his terrible acting. Ack!

Robert Pattinson, without a doubt!! He is gorgeous of course, but his look is so different. He’s not your typical hunky movie star.
Everyone has gone on and on about Rob’s hair, but what about Zac Efron’s hair? Does he have something wrong with his face that he he is constantly trying to cover up? At the MTV movie awards I wanted someone to get his hair out of his face! I sound like someone’s mother… oh wait. I am someone’s mother!

Emile Hirsch!! He’s awesome – he’s made amazing movies and is truly an awesome actor – love ya Rob – but seriously folks I know how wonderful Edward is – but Rob hasn’t made that many movies to qualify him as a golden boy – he’s sort of having his ’15 minutes’ right now – I think we need to see him in 5-7 years and then put him in the same category as Emile…JMO
