Wow……….they all look so great!! I am getting major chills just looking at them. Seriously, New Moon is going to rock! I absolutely love Caius (Jamie). He really brings the Volturi alive for me. Also, the red eyes are SO freaky! =)

I’m sure New Moon is going to be awesome, but I am not feeling these pictures… I don’t know why exactly yet, but something is just not sitting right with me!!
The scenery is just too… *blah* I think…

I am looking forward to New Moon, don’t get me wrong….but I think the Volturi should have been portrayed by men a little bit older than these guys. Maybe some actors in their late thirties to mid forties. I don’t know why, but while I was reading I imagined them to be older. Especially since Aro’s skin is described as paper thin. In these pictures, Aro’s skin looks beautiful, not paper thin. Also, I’m not feeling the fright from them that I felt while reading the story…..hopefully the acting will help me feel it.

Yeah, I always picture it darker for some reason. I can’t seem to get the hi res of Jane to open up. It just opens the same photo.

Love them……They all look fantastic!!! Not a big deal to me at this point but I always saw the meating (hehe)hall a bit more dusty and dark.

I agree Jayme about the room being darker. Maybe because they talked of the women walking into the light coming in through the windows and that they were sparkling. What I really hope they have is the drain in the middle of the room because that was just the sickest part of the description! YUCK!!! As for the actors, I think once they actually move on the screen, it will be more menanicing. Aro looks really good to me, as does Marcus (by the by, he looks like he is in his late 30′s and I know that the actor playing Aro is in his late 30′s early 40′s) and when I read Caius I imagined him younger (you know, like more volitile, like any young guy who can’t control his temper). I just can’t wait. Hopefully the next trailer has them speaking in it. That would really be nice!

I love these. I am still not liking Caius. Aro and Marcus are portrayed by older men. Although they still look amazing, it does give them a different look -”petrified”. Caius, on the other hand still looks young and gorgeous, like he belongs on the guard.

So, am I the only one for whom the high resolution version of the picture with Jane and Edward won’t work?? The other ones worked just fine!! Help?

I’m with Janet…. VERY disappointed that the Volturi look nothing like the book. They are supposed to look thousands of years old, not young, hot, hip and 20-something.
Hollywood ruins everything…

Carlisle is hundrends (if not thousands) of years old. Don’t forget, they should look like they did when the were turned INTO vampires. Edward is over 100 years old but he was 17 when he was changed therefore he looks 17.

Loving the pics. I expected Alec to have blond hair to match his twin Jane. But all twins don’t have the same hair. As far as the “older” volturi, remember…vampires are frozen in time. So, however old they were when they were turned that’s what they should still look like thousands of years later. But, they still could have made them have the paper thin skin look by lightening up their complection alot. That would be my only complaint.
All in all I’m pleased. Hopefully this will be a thousand times better than Twilight. I still watch Twilight don’t get me wrong but it seems that this movied will do the book more justice.

I’m totally happy with these pictures. I love who they cast at the Volturi. I like that they made them more exciting to look at instead of just robes. I can’t wait to see how it looks onscreen. Because stills are stills, it looks way different on film.

I don’t think we should flip out yet about how the actors “look” compared to their descriptions in the books. These are only still photos anyway and the real test will be how they make the characters come alive on screen. Personally for me, it’s not how they look that will be the test for me, but rather how they sound. I always imagine the Volturi sound menacing when they talk, even when they are trying to be so-called friendly. So I’m just going to enjoy all the sneak peek photos we get beforehand and then wait with baited breath for the debut.
