Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be on the cover of this week’s Entertainment Weekly. The issue will be available on August 14th.
With a new director, a new level of fame for stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, and a new set of washboard abs for Taylor Lautner, the second film in the Twilight series, due Nov. 20, promises even more swooning-opportunities for its fans. This week’s double issue of Entertainment Weekly places Stewart and Lautner on the cover, while revealing secrets from the New Moon set inside.
New Moon, a far different beast than Twilight, is steeped in heartbreak, focusing on the recovery Bella (Stewart) undergoes after Edward (Pattinson) breaks her heart and her new feelings for her friend Jacob (Lautner). Pattinson couldn’t be happier with his downsized role: “It was a stress-free job for three months,” says the actor. “All the pressure was on Taylor.”

When does he turn 18? I feel very dirty and creepy thinking about how extreamly good looking he is! Not that once he is 18 I will not feel that, but at least it will be legal to think that way! And Kristen seems so much more fun around him. Interesting!

I would just like to clarify (after reading that Taylor had a run in with an older fan) that I completly respect all the actors, but especially the younger ones. There is no denying that Taylor is a very good looking young man ~ but who did not know that was going to be the case when he was in Shark Boy and Lava Girl! But he is still a person and for that matter someone’s son. As a mother, I am sure if I ever did meet him, I would want to protect him like he was my own son. There is being a fan and then there is being fanatic. Let’s remember that ladies.

Nice cover!! Although I love the Edward/Bella dynamic, I’m looking forward to the Jacob/Bella friendship developing. I agree with you Mrs.B, Taylor Lautner is a cutie, but I look at him as a talented young actor, the same way I think of Robert Pattinson and the others. I would be very worried if my son had a website dedicated to when he would be legal, or some of the encounters he had in public. I would become his new bodyguard! LOL!

I’m such a mom! (On all the “Which Twilight character are you?” quizzes, I’m always Esme…) I worry about the effects of fame (including the constant intense scrutiny, public hysteria and over-the-top adulation) on Taylor… as well as the other members of this young cast. I may be nuts, but I feel as though I already see changes in Lautner’s demeanor and personality. It does seem like he and Pattinson are reacting to the spotlight in opposite ways. I hope that ALL the actors are able to keep their heads on straight through all of this….
