I'm a teacher, and I'm sure they didn't resent her. I think it was more along the lines of either be in school everyday or be home schooled. Teachers don't have the time (nor is it their responsibility) to keep up with students who are frequently absent. Kristen chose to be in films which meant she could not handle a normal school schedule. That is not the teachers' fault.
