RockStar Weekly has a FABULOUS interview up with the 100 Monkeys guys. All the answers are recorded audio, so you can listen to the banter between band. (Did I mention it’s fabulous yet?)
I’m not going to transcribe the entire interview, but here was one of my favorite answers.
Q: I’ve read there’s an element of improv with your shows. Where did that come from?
Monkey 1: A lot of planning.
Jackson: I think, you know, originally we all kinda came together by just jamming as musicians. You know, improv.
Monkey 3: And the fans seemed to like it and so we just keep doing it. And it’s great. It’s fun. When you don’t know what’s going to happen you keep watching.
My apologies for not being able to recognize the different voices of the other two speakers in the interview. The only one I was sure about was Jackson’s (insert an arrow pointing to Julie&Jasper with “bad fan” after it here). If anyone can identify the individual guys, post it in the comments and I’ll add them.
