Great interview! I was worried when they replaced Catherine H. because I loved the first movie and didn’t want anything changed. But the more I read/see of this guy the more I like him. The comic con footage I saw on YouTube suggested he’s a calm presence and protective of his young cast — fantastic. And I like that he is aware of the repercussions if we don’t get enough Edward. More hopeful about the movie when I read this stuff! Month after next!!

Great, Great Interview! You can tell he is taking this serioiusly and wants to deliver something the “readership” (love how he used that term) will love. If I said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times…..just can’t wait to see it!! Are we there yet?

Whoa! Fantastic interview! I LOVE this guy! I love his dedication to the books, his respect for the source material. That being said, Andrea I agree with you about Jane. And from the shots I’ve seen the wigs, particularly Jacob’s long hair and Jasper’s new ‘do, look very artificial.

Great interview!!

I am so impressed with Chris Weitz’s dedication to the readers and really wish that Twilight had been made with that same dedication. Unfortunately, I saw the film before diving into the books (balking at the idea that as a 30 year old woman I would be interested in “young adult” fare) and really felt that it was disjointed and awkward…and I liked it even less after reading and falling in love with the books. It doesn’t mean I haven’t seen the film a dozen times, because I do love the characters so, but all the changes (mainly how unbecoming Edward’s dialogue was at times…and the bloodtyping scene being left out…and the spidermonkey bit alone…shudder) really ruined it for me. Can we have a do-over please??

Wish I could ask Chris why on earth Jane is so obviously girly with blonde hair, when Stephanie started that Janes hair was short like a boys only she was too beautiful to be a boy. That portrayal of Jane does seem to have come across in the film New Moon, but then films rarely focus on truth if they are big sellers they forget the little details at their peril.

Its just disappointing that they didn’t really fit Jane with the right look, she doesn’t look like right, she is all wrong. Any way apart from that the film looks good but the wigs make the Cullens look comical.
