Justin Chon on a ‘darker’ Eclipse

E! Online spoke to Justin Chon at the BAFTA’s Pre-Emmy party about David Slade’s vision of Eclipse and security for Robert Pattinson.

“He’s done pretty dark films so that’s where I see [Eclipse] really gravitating towards—more of a dark kind of moody film,” Chon said yesterday at BAFTA’s pre-Emmy tea party. “Just shooting the scenes that I’m in, the mood is definitely different.”

“Security has been increased a lot,” Chon said. “They’re a lot more protective…If Rob was to go out in public without anybody, I think it could be pretty dangerous.”

It’s good to hear from Justin, it really is. He has such a great outlook on things. It’s always refreshing!

Justin said that things are much darker in this new film, and I’m sorry to say that I’m still very concerned about David Slade’s approach to filming “Eclipse”. I hope he’s taking it as seriously as it deserves, and not treating it as some sort of teen drive-in zombie/vampire/horror flick. OMG I really hope Summit’s made the right decision with him!
