New fansites!

Sometimes a book (or series of books) comes along and really captivates you and you just have to do something more than just read it over and over again (I’m sure none of you know that feeling, right?) Well, several of our TwilightMOMS have been bitten by books other than Twilight (shocking, I know!) and have started fansites for these books.  We wanted to let you know about these sites so you could join them if you were as captivated by the books as some of our other Moms. 

The first site is Late Bloomer Online  created by JenHow and Espe for the book Wings, written by Aprilynne Pike.  Wings wasn’t ever our Book of the Month but it came highly recommended by a certain author we all know and love, Stephenie Meyer, so we posted the recommendation here on our blog.  You can read what Stephenie had to say about Wings here.  Late Bloomer just launched this past weekend so head on over and show them a little love. 

Second is Mundie Moms, which I thought for sure we had highlighted before but as I went looking through the archives it turns out we hadn’t.  Mundie Moms was  created a while back by Katieb, MajorWhitlock and Jaevenstar.  This is a fan site for Cassandra Claire’s Mortal Instrument series, which so many of us just adore.  Make sure you stop by their site for all the latest news about The Mortal Instruments Series!

    Aw, thank you Amy!!! Seriously, I appreciate all the support that TM’s has been for my site. It’s been a blast. Never in a million years would I have thought I would have started a website and that’s all due in part to TM’s and SM giving so many women the confidence to go and do something for themselves that they other wise wouldn’t ever do.

    Thanks Amy, Lisa and Georgia :) Espe and I are so excited to bring people together through a book we all love just like Twilight Moms did for us! !!! So Thank YOU so much for bringing me and Espe together, and just like Katie said, I never thought I would have started a website either, but wow… what an exciting ride so far… and to think it is only beginning!!!!

    Thank you all for the support and recognition. I never in a million years thought I would be starting my own fansite. Nevertheless, after meeting Jen through Twilight Moms, we are thrilled to be offering the same kind of forum for fans of Wings. It is seriously an exciting endeavor and it would not have been possible if Jen and I had not met through TM’s. So, thank you so much Lisa and Georgia and all the administrators for making this possible!
