Some of you (like me) may have been stumped by a few of the artists that will be appearing on the New Moon soundtrack. Who are these people and what kind of music do they make? I suppose it shouldn’t be shocking that this soundtrack would feature some lesser-known bands when the Twilight soundtrack also had more than its fair share. MTV being the wonderful, gracious people that they are has decided to help us all out a little bit by giving us the dirt on the artists featured on the New Moon soundtrack. I am always in search of great new music so I am pretty excited to learn about these bands. I also got pretty excited about Thom Yorke. I heart him! I have to admit this one caught my eye – hmmm, wonder why?:

Grizzly Bear (“Slow Life”): The beloved Brooklyn indie-rock band known for mixing folk with electronic instruments released one of this year’s most acclaimed albums in May, Veckatimest. Their mix of acoustic guitars, chamber pop, electronic bloops and gorgeous melodies have earned them major blog props.

Thank you for posting this guide. Gosh, I am SO over-the-hill in music it isn’t funny! But I loved the music in the Twilight film, and if it’s any indication of the type of music that may be forthcoming in New Moon, I’m really looking forward to it.
