Cast members talk about Breaking Dawn

Posted on 24. Nov, 2009 by in News

Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Peter Facinelli and Nikki Reed talked to MTV about their hopes for making Breaking Dawn.

“If I had a wish list, Gus van Sant would be pretty cool,” Peter Facinelli said, mirroring Robert Pattinson’s director pick. “I just think he’d be an interesting choice for it. I mean, ‘Milk’ was phenomenal. I would just love to see ‘Breaking Dawn’ done, because I’d like to finish the whole chapter.”

Ashley Greene said she wouldn’t turn down the chance to split up “Breaking Dawn,” if that’s what the studio decides. “I think we all love being a part of this,” she said. “And if making this into two films means we capture the essence of the fourth book better, then absolutely.”

Nikki Reed agreed with Greene, noting that she just wants to see it get the green light before any other decisions are made. “It doesn’t matter to me … if they think that’s what’s best for the book, and if they don’t think they can make it in one, then great,” Reed said. “But I don’t even know if they’re making it.”

I would really hope they would make breaking dawn. i think it would be extremely silly to make the 3 and just stop. They know that it will do well, no matter if it must be split into two movies or not. All the actors especially Rob and Kristen are fantastic in the movies and I would be very heartbroken if they decided to just stop at the third book.

PLEASE don’t stop. Breaking Dawn has got to be made. there are a lot of us ladies out there that did not find “happy ever after” . But we can live it threw these books and then threw the movies. the twilight saga is the perfect love story . Edward is the man we never found , Jacab the friend we could only hope for. I and a lot of other fans want it to go on and on. I love the books , been threw them 6 times each. loved Midnight Sun what there is of it. and seen Twilight about 20 times New Moon 3 times. Make Breaking Dawn in one movie or 2, I don’t care . Just make it Please.

They WILL make Breaking Dawn. I think the question now is simply whether it will be 1 or 2 movies. If I understood correctly the cast has only signed on for one BD movie so far. I guess that’s where the delay comes from. They likely negotiate with Rob, Kristen and Taylor right now for a second BD movie. Since they are all in high demand for other roles it may be difficult to put the schedule together and Rob at least seems to have some objections to split the book into two movies. I guess we’ll hear soon enough.

I know Stephenie Meyer had some reservations about Renesme and the CGI aspect. In the past she expressed concern that the CGI world wasn’t ready to create the awareness that Renesme required as a newborn. She said she would rather see it not made than made badly. I hope it does get made, just like all the other fans. Two movies would be fine with me also, the more the better!

Oh please. New Moon just broke box office records. Summit will make BD. There is no reason to worry about this. Stephenie Meyer may have “reservations” but it’s not really her decision anymore. The argument here is one movie or two.

Actually it is still Stephenie’s decision. In the Ryan Seacrest interview we posted yesterday she stated they are in talks to make BD which implies that she has not signed over the rights yet. The original deal was just for the first three movies.

Actually, I should have said it’s not just her decision anymore. The fans are the ones who have made this a huge success. Plus, Twilight came out only months after Breaking Dawn, which is most likely why Summit didn’t have the rights to BD yet. It’s only a matter of time.

I think Summit knows it would make money, which is one reason you make movies. I think they / SM/ MR would make sure it would be done right rather than rush. But on the other hand, our vamps aren’t getting any younger and will be in more demand.

Breaking Dawn is our closure. It is the Happily Ever After. And as far as Rennesme they could do a time thing like they did in New Moon where they showed Bella just sitting there but time passing by, maybe they could do that and have her like at the stage of where she is like a 2 year old. And I think Chris Weitz should direct Breaking Dawn he did the CGI without it looking fake and he captured the story so completely whether it is broken into 2 movies or not this is a story that needs to be told. This is Bella’s life and people want to see her get all that she wants and more.
