Nikki Reed loves Twilight Moms!

MTV has a new interview available with Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed, where they ask the cast members some of the fans’ burning questions. In this interview, Nikki shows her appreciation for us moms!
MTV: Nikki, Jenbarns76 asks: “I was wondering if you ever take a look at the fan sites that have popped up all over the Net.”
Reed: Well, I’m sort of obsessed with the TwiMoms. They’ve definitely been the nicest to me — so thanks, TwiMoms! They’ve made me love the books. [But Web sites are dangerous because] it’s really hard for me to not be honest. It’s really hard for me to watch what I say. Because I honestly believe everybody has good intentions, and it gets me into a lot of trouble.
MTV: Like what?
Reed: There was an interview where somebody asked me how I was feeling at that moment with everything that was going on with “Twilight,” and I said, “You know? I’m really devastated right now, because I have never heard the amount of criticism and hurt and pain from some things that I’ve read going on the Internet [about me] right now, like, “She’s fat” and “She’s ugly” and “She’s not blond” and “She’s supposed to be the most beautiful girl in the world?” and “Couldn’t they cast someone who was remotely beautiful?” It’s like, thank God I’m not so callous that I’m totally desensitized, but I am sensitive and that really hurt my feelings. And the TwiMoms made this book for me that was this huge book that they had collected letters from people all over the world that just said the nicest things about me. Like, it couldn’t have been a better ego boost.

I LOVE Nikki,
I am happy she is Rose, I cannot wait for her back story in Eclipes. It is one of the most stand out stories in that book for me for some reason.

You know, until I watched this, I kinda felt neutral about Nikki. I didn’t want to dislike her, but she wasn’t one of my favorites. After watching this, I see something really sweet about her and no conceit whatsoever. I wish I had seen something like this a long time ago, but I’d only caught tiny clips here and there that didn’t have much substance. Thanks for sharing this, I look forward to seeing more of Nikki now! She’s awesome!!!

Great interview! She was so sweet to us! She seems so sweet and sincere – I hope people can see that side of her. Rosalie is a character she plays not her real personality.

Since it seems you do frequent this website, just know that us Twi-Moms love you! Don’t ever let the negativity get you down and if you happen to read something that hurts your feelings, brush it off and just come here for some TLC from your adoptive Twi-Moms. We moms just have that way about us, you know – we’re very protective of our “children”!

She is just so sweet! In all honesty, I didn’t think she was the most obvious casting choice, purely from a physical standpoint. She’s not tall, or blonde, but she IS beautiful! I think a lot of people have projected their contempt for Rosalie onto Nikki, and that’s really unfair. She seems to be very kind and smart, and she deserves a lot of credit for making us hate Rosalie so much in the movie! Hopefully, with Eclipse, and Rosalie’s back story, Nikki will gain more sympathy as well!

I absolutley adore Nikk’s authentisity! And I think she was deffinately right for the part of Rosalie! I don’t think anyone could have pulled off Rose’s moodiness quite the way I picture! and I to can wait to see Rosalie’s backstory in Eclipse!

Hey Nikki – pay no attention to all the negative remarks. Look at all the hate that was directed at Rob before the film was even made! And now I see a lot of very nasty remarks being made about Taylor as well. It’s really horrid what some ‘fans’ will say about people they don’t even know. You have to remember that a lot of the people who post on the various websites are minors, teens, or even younger. They should know better, but…..they don’t. I think your interpretation of Rose is great!

Was Nikki Reed the best casting choice in the world (appearance-wise)? Not really. She is really not how Rosalie is described in the book. HOWEVER, I would never say hateful things about her. She is still a beautiful girl who can act, so why “hate” on her? These actors are still PEOPLE with feelings. I can’t stand all the hate. Move on with your lives, people, and just enjoy!

What a great shout-out for TwiMoms! Nikki is right – TMs DOES rock!
I think its mainly because of our ‘be nice’ policy… its so easy to channel the positive energy on here. Its nice to find a place where women are supportive of each other and help each other out. I love it here!!!
