Matt had to ask the questions that "fans" want to hear but he also wanted to show the ridiculousness of it and allow Rob to be silly about it as well. Otherwise Matt would not have asked the dating "someone whose name rhymes with" he would have just come out and asked. I thought it was well handled and funny. Much better than Letterman.
