Due to the crazy holiday season that is upon us we will not be having a book of the month for December.  If you missed any of our outstanding books during 2009 this would be a great month to get caught up! You can see all the books we’ve read this year here.

We have some really exciting changes planned for our book of the month in 2010. To give you a head start on all these changes here are the books that we will be spotlighting in January:

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Next to the exhortation at the beginning of Moby-Dick, “Call me Ishmael,” the first sentence of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice must be among the most quoted in literature. And certainly what Melville did for whaling Austen does for marriage–tracing the intricacies (not to mention the economics) of 19th-century British mating rituals with a sure hand and an unblinking eye. The Lonely Hearts Club by Elizabeth Eulberg
