That list is basically a list of every movie that was released in 2009, so it's no surprise at all to see New Moon listed there. I would LOVE it if they got recognized for something!! I think our best best is still the MTV movie awards! While it’s great to see the words “Oscar” and Twilight anything in the same sentence, I’m not going to hold my breath that they’ll actually get any nominations. That list is basically a list of every movie that was released in 2009, so it’s no surprise at all to see New Moon listed there.

I think we should be more realistic in our discussions, talking about which of these movies could be nominated for an Oscar and for what category. Up in the Air, of course; My Bloody Valentine, NO WAY. Now, New Moon could get on the long list for best visual effects, but realistically, not the short list.
