Hello TwilightMoms.
Happy 2010. May all of you experience profound joy and great health. Do not forget to make fabulous memories with cherished family and friends this year.
Without a doubt, I was extremely disappointed to read that Rachelle Lefevre was not going to continue her amazing role as Victoria in the Twilight Saga. She was the actress to first say YES to the Saga-even when the success of the series was unknown. Rachelle was terrific in her role and Canada is proud.
When we learned that Bryce Dallas Howard was to replace Rachelle in the Eclipse movie, there were many fabricated stories about exactly what happened. Perhaps it is not the business of fans to know the truth. We realize that Summit Entertainment makes the decisions to the movie making of the Saga. We respect the process.
Part of me still wanted to believe that an actress who WAS the actress already playing the part, should have been given top priority to complete the role if she wanted to complete the role. To state that scheduling conflicts was the issue is a bit difficult to accept as actual truth.
Please do not get me wrong. I love Ron Howard. I have followed his incredible career as a great actor and brilliant director. I love to see most of his movies. His daughter, Bryce, seems to be developing into an extremely talented actress. I look forward to seeing some of her work.
IF it is true that Bryce initially said no to Twilight because it was too small a part- and then consider the role when it is at the heart of the character’s role- is somewhat heartbreaking for some fans. Does it matter whether we are Canadian or not?
I am certain that Bryce has done a magnificent job in interpreting the role of Victoria.
We superficially understand the politics of Hollywood. It still does not make it right. The Twilight Saga is what it is today because of Stephenie Meyer and the abundantly loyal fans.
We loved New Moon and look forward to Eclipse.
We still love our Rachelle.
I am still Team Aro, Marcus, and Caius.

I’m not Canadian, but I also loved Rachelle as Victoria. There was so little of Victoria in New Moon I really couldn’t tell which actress was playing the role. I was looking forward to her interpretation of Victoria during Eclipse. I am Team Edward through and through. I love that Rachelle recently had good things to say about Rob Pattinson and his personal hygiene.
