Kellan Lutz – Superhero?

Casting for the flick based on the comic book character of Captain America is under way and Kellan Lutz is working on putting his name into the running for the coveted main role. So whose Kellan’s competition? MTV has listed that the rumors state that Kellan is up against Rob Buckley (One Tree Hill fame) and John Barrowman (Torchwood). The movie is set to hit theaters in 2012 so who knows when Captain America will be announced.

Age and nationality have become hot-button issues for fans when it comes to casting Cap. Some have argued that Rogers can’t be played by an older actor, presumably taking dead-ringers Aaron Eckhart and Mark Valley out of the running. Others have said that he must be played by an American actor, which would put an end to Sam Worthington and Alexander Skarsgård’s chances.

    I’d go see Captain America if Kellan was playing the lead. And I’m so NOT a Captain America kinda girl. EWE. But uh… Kellan is hot. I mean like… HOT hot. Seriously. Burn me baby. Please.

    While John Barrowman is technically an American because he is a naturalized citizen, he also has UK citizenship. He’s also a much bigger star in the UK than in the US. Now, if you want the massive hoards of Twilight automatically and the built-in audience that guarantees…
