Peter Facinelli dazzles Temecula

Posted on 08. Feb, 2010 by AmyO in News

Peter Facinelli was his usual dazzling self at an autograph signing in Temecula, CA this weekend.

Facinelli debuted to the enthusiastic screams of fans who circled the stage and lined the mall six people deep. Others cheered and angled their cameras from the Level 2 balconies.

And, so it began. Facinelli chatted briefly, but amiably with each fan that was led to the stage, sometimes stopping to wave to the crowd, always offering a hug and a handshake.

A portion of the proceeds from Saturday’s event will go to UNICEF’s relief efforts in Haiti.  Peter talked to the press about what he hopes fans learn from these events.

“When you’re young, your world is small. It usually just includes parents and friends,” Facinelli said, noting the general age and interests of his Twi-hard audience. “But, eventually that (outlook) changes to ‘what can I do for the greater cause in society?’ The Twi-hard crowd is passionate about the (”Twilight” series), so I hope they will see from today that one person can make a difference in the world, if everyone pulls together.”

You can read more about the event here.

Peter tweeted this video of the crowd.  His tweet included a warning to turn your volume down before watching this clip. This is very good advice ;)

Was so disappointed he had to cancel out on Vampire Baseball game in New Orleans. I was looking forward to seeing him in person. : ( I can’t believe he would not want to play ball with the Super bowl champs (some Saints players are scheduled to participate).
