Author Appreciation Week

Heidi Kling, the author of Sea, declared this week Author Appreciation Week and invited all of her blog readers to join in the fun.  The rules are simple- each day this week write a blog post about an author you appreciate and explain why. We actually planned to participate in Author Appreciation Week at Eve’s Fan Garden but for a couple of reasons decided to put our first post up here on TwilightMOMS. The first reason is because of who we chose and the second is because Eve’s is still down. (It should be back up later tonight)

Our first author during author appreciation week was an easy choice- Stephenie Meyer. 

There are many reasons that we love and appreciate Stephenie. I’m going to try and keep this somewhat simple-

• She created the Twilight Universe and all the beloved characters associated with it.
• She gave us The Host and taught us some very important lessons in the process. (Plus she gave us Ian O’Shea….need I say more?)
• She opened my eyes to a whole new book genre. I wasn’t much of a YA Lit reader before I picked up Twilight, now it seems that’s all I read.
• She gave us all of you (awwwww! Sappy but true!!)

Stephenie will probably never know how much she changed so many of our lives. Thank you Stephenie!!
