Remember Me cast discusses the film’s controversial ending

Robert Pattinson and his costars shared with MTV their thoughts on the controversial ending of Remember Me. While Rob’s comments don’t give away any details, the MTV article and other cast comments are spoiler heavy. If you haven’t seen the movie, I recommend that you do not read the rest of their comments. That being said, I think the filmmaker handled the ending beautifully.

Robert Pattinson: “When I first read the script, it seemed so much a part of it. As soon as I read it, I felt immediately connected to it. If it was edited down in any way, I don’t think it would be the same thing. I always feel there’s some kind of power to the script. I wanted to keep that in the movie.”

    I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t read any of the spoilers before I saw the movie Friday, so I didn’t know the ending.
    It hit kind of close to home for me because I was in Washington, D.C., that day. But I agree with Robert Pattinson. The movie would not have been the same without it. It was powerful. And I definitely thought about it for a long time.
    I wanted to say, too, that I felt Robert Pattinson did an excellent job. If there were any lingering doubts about his acting beyond Edward Cullen, they should be answered. Emilie deRavin was excellent as well.

    I too was just totally blown away by the ending. It was a complete and utter blind side since I was unaware that the movie had anything to do with that day. I was just kind of in a zone on my drive back from the theater as a result.

    I think it made for a very powerful and emotional ending. It was a jaw-dropping, OMG moment at the theater watching the ending of the film. The movie would have been completely different without it. I really wouldn’t have changed a thing.

    I think the camps are just going to be split on this one and unfortunitely it will hurt with many of the critics. I enjoyed the film though and thought the casting was well done all-around.

    I was really surprised to see that there is any controversy at all on the movie. I thought the movie was very well done. The actors all did a great job. The ending left me thinking and dreaming about the movie the rest of the night.
