Screenstar interviews Jackson Rathbone on Dread, Eclipse & more

Posted on 09. Apr, 2010 by in News

Screenstar recently caught up with Jackson during his 100-city 100 Monkeys’ tour. They talked about the various projects on Jackson’s plate, including Dread, The Last Airbender, Eclipse, Girlfriend and the 100 Monkeys, and how he manages to juggle them all.

You seem so busy with the acting right now.  You’ve produced Girlfriend and are trying to get that on the festival circuit in order to find a distributor.  How concerned do you get about leaving enough time to devote to your band, 100 Monkeys?

It all depends on how many hours of sleep you want to get a night (laughs).  When we did Eclipse I was filming it in Vancouver and flying to Boston on my off days to shoot Girlfriend, as well as mixing my band’s album and recording vocals for it.  So I was doing three or four different things at once.  It was two months of doing that.  It was difficult, but at the end of the day you just sleep a little less and drink a lot more coffee.

I am really starting to have a thing for Jackson. I think he is talented, well rounded, gourgous, and the perfect Jasper! Next to Edward, Jasper is the vampire I would like to “meet” :)

I believe we are going to see LOTS more of Jackson in the future. So talented. ‘DREA’D was amazing. Looking forward to seeing ‘Girlfriend’. And looking forward to seeing him and his band in a couple of weeks! LOVE YOU JAY!
