The Wall Street Journal as an exclusive exerpt from the new chapter that will be included in the paperback copy of The Host.
On April 13, author Stephenie Meyer will publish the paperback edition of her best-selling sci-fi book “The Host.” Meyer, the author behind the “Twilight” series of books, will include in the coming version of “The Host” a never-before seen “bonus chapter.” “The Host,” Meyer’s first novel for adults, tells the story of body-snatching aliens who invade the earth. One of these extraterrestrials, who goes by the name Wanda, develops an unusual relationship with Melanie, the woman whose body she has taken over.

i count myself as an original Twilight fan, before the hype and movies. I have waited patienty for each sequal to be published and have paid full price for each book, including the Host.
Now I feel ripped off because this ‘new chapter’ sounds like a money maker because the publishers and Stephanie want the loyal fans to go out and purchase another book. This new chapter i will have to read when I loan out the book from my local library.
Sorry I am going to save my hard earned cash for a whole new book and yes I will que to buy the next first edition Stephanie publishes.
Don’t get me started on the ‘free’ story about Bree…
