New Moon receives 5 MTV Movie Award nominations

Today MTV announced the nominees for the 2010 Movie Awards, and New Moon is among the leaders of the pack with 5 nominations. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner picked up multiple nominations each.

Anna Kendrick is also nominated for Best Breakout Star for her role in Up in the Air. And the Best Kiss category is full of New Moon cast members, with Kristen and Dakota Fanning nominated for The Runaways, Taylor and costar Taylor Swift nominated for Valentine’s Day, and (of course) Kristen and Rob nominated for New Moon.

Go here to see the full nomination list. Voting opens at noon EST today and lasts through Saturday, June 5  (voting for Best Movie will stay open throughout the awards show). The MTV Movie Awards air Sunday, June 6 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

    ok seriosuly…if the Avatar wins…I will be greatly dissapointed…..well not only because I’m a Twimom but also I saw the Avatar…and it wasn’t that great. It was alright….probably something I would only watch once. So I don’t see how that and the “Hangover” Would be in the Best Movie category. Now Alice in Wonderland is another story…havn’t seem it yet, but I can tell it’s awesome. And Harry Potter…..well….Harry Potter kind of lost the limelight as soon as Twilight hit the theatres….
