Robert Pattinson surprises fan at home

People magazine has covered the fun story of Oprah sending Rob to surprise a family of Twilight fans at their home:
When Oprah Winfrey called all Twilight fans in April to submit stories about how the hit supernatural series changed their lives, Maria Mele knew she had to e-mail the daytime talk show host.
Unfortunately, the super fan didn’t get the response she hoped for – tickets to attend the taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show where Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning would all be. So, she settled for being interviewed by Winfrey via Skype.
Turns out, she got something even better than a seat inside Harpo Studios: Robert Pattinson at her doorstep.
The surprise visit was taped for The Oprah Show airing on May 13, the same episode that will feature interviews with Rob, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning. The Oprah Show has also posted the below photo as a reminder for fans to tune in to the episode.

How cute! I can’t wait to see the footage and hear Rob’s nervous laugh, lol! Watching him feel so shy is half the fun
Had I won this visit, as luck would have it, Rob would show up on a pajama day, i.e. Me wearing ratty, comfy pj’s, rats nest hair, death breath, having spent the afternoon on the sofa with chips and salsa, enjoying a Buffy the vampire slayer marathon. Not that I ever do that *snort!* just saying

Why is it that you have to fall in the 14-17 year old category to be one of twilight’s biggest fans. I’m a 25 year old single mom and my family wants to put a muzzle on me cause it is all I talk about everyday. It’s the on;y books I will read and I have a hard time not watching the movies everyday. Well that’s alright I will still be a loyal fan.

So I guess that means I can stop waiting by the phone!! LOL.
And I was sure I’d be picked: I’m totally Twilight and Rob obsessed. I watch both movies daily, have all 4 cd’s blaring, have 12 posters and calendars on the walls,
spent thousands of dollars on t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, jewelry (wear Edward’s wrist cuff all the time), stickers, trading cards, wallets, magnets, mouse pads, bumper stickers, journals, action figures, games, book marks, bandaids, etc. Had a dead-on replica of Edward’s gray wool pea-coat made. Stood in line at my local Walmart for the New Moon midnight release party. I could go on and on. AND I’M A 62-YEAR OLD GRANDMA!!

Well I can’t beat the grandma (lol), but I with you all I am 33 year old single mom and I love Twilight, you don’t have to be a teenager to have a vampire (or wolf) absession. I am so jealous and exited at the same time, I probably would have passed out on national TV, my teenage son is a twi guy but not as obbsessed as me and even though he would have loved the Rob visit Kirsten or Dakota would have worked for him, but he deals with his crazy mom.

What a lucky family! That is great that Rob took time to do that.
(I feel dumb because I had no idea that when Oprah was asking for fans a while back that that was how people got chosen for the studio audience for the twilight interview taping! Wish I had written my story for that chance!)

I think I would have lost my mind. Robert Pattinson at the doorstep would almost be too much to handle. What a lucky family!!! How nice of him to do that. Wow, just wow.

My five year old grandaughter and I watch Twilight, New Moon, Twilight, New Moon and we argue Edward, Jacob, every time. What about twilight grandmothers too.

how i wish it was me and my granddaughter jaidyn. she is team jacob and me team edward.but anyone will do.we cant wate till may 13.we have our dvr set.
