Summit Addresses Breaking Dawn Rumors

As many of you may have noticed, rumors have been floating around the internet regarding various aspects of Breaking Dawn and the release date for the Eclipse DVD. Summit sent us an email addressing some of these rumors:

  • As of right now, no local auditions are being held for the Breaking Dawn films. There is only one casting director working on the films right now – Deborah Zane. If Deborah’s name is not attached to an audition in some form or another, it is not legitimate. She is also not putting out nationwide casting notices, so any ads you see are completely false. She has set up an e-mail address specifically for casting inquiries.
  • The rumor about Renesmee’s name changing in Breaking Dawn is FALSE.
  • Contrary to Xavier Samuel’s IMDb page, Riley will not appear in the Breaking Dawn films.
  • A US release date for the Eclipse DVD has net yet been confirmed or announced by Summit. So unless it is international date and confirmed by an international distributor, it is a rumor.

    First, why would they change the baby’s name from Renesmee to something else when it’s clear the name was created/chosen to honor both Edward’s and Bella’s moms: Renee and Esme. Second, why would Riley be in Breaking Dawn? He was destroyed in Eclipse. He’s really not even mentioned in Breaking Dawn.

    I know people will probably not agree with me but I have never liked the baby’s name I thought she should have been named just simply Elizabeth after Edward human mother. But that is just my opinion. But I really just want to them to do the best movie they can and stick to the books. (But I don’t like Reneesme Sorry :( )
