Bree Tanner Spin-off Film?

Cinematical is reporting on a rumor from Australia’s What’s Playing that Summit may be looking to make a film version of The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner once the Breaking Dawn films are done.
What’s Playing is reporting that an insider emailed, “It goes without saying Summit want to continue this franchise… Tanner is the one they’re looking at post-Breaking Dawn… It’s too early to talk casting, and everything we’re hearing is just speculation or off a wish list, but I don’t believe they plan on using the original actress, Jodelle Ferland, for the spin-off film. It’s all about numbers and names — you guys know that.” WP passes this info on with a caveat that this tipster is “a first-time scooper” and to think of this as only a rumor but admits “it’s too good not to print.” Hey, we think so too!
No official word from any of the decision makers on this potential project. In the meantime, MTV is polling readers to find out which Twilight Saga spin-off should get a movie adaptation. You can go here to vote.

I don’t know if The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner would be long enough to justify having an hour and half to two hour long movie. I can picture it as more of a tv show, though.
