ABC Orders More Episodes of Rachelle Lefevre’s New Show

We previously posted that Rachelle would be starring in a new TV medical drama called Off the Map that is scheduled to debut in early 2011. Now TV Guide is reporting that ABC is confident in the success of the show and has ordered additional episodes:
The network has ordered six more episodes of the medical show from creator Jenna Bans and executive producers Betsy Beers and Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice), bringing the total to 13 episodes, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
The series follows Tommy (Zach Gilford), Lily (Caroline Dhavernas) and Mina (Mamie Gummer) at a medical clinic in South America. The cast also includes Jason George, Martin Henderson, Rachelle Lefevre and Valerie Cruz.
That’s great news for Rachelle!
TV Guide’s cast details for Off the Map show Rachelle’s character’s name as Ryan Clark, and Entertainment Weekly previously described her character as “a free-spirited missionary doc who is well versed in international medicine and global health. She worked at the clinic before, but left due to her troubled romantic history with its founder, Ben (Martin Henderson).”
