Chaske speaks openly about his battle against addiction

Some of you may not know that before Chaske Spencer had even heard of Twilight he was battling againist being a addict.  Now sober for years, he often speaks very openly about his past struggles hoping to encourage others out there to get help.  Recently Chaske did a interview with Central Michigan Life about overcoming addiction.

“Let me tell you something about heroin,” Spencer told about 900 people Wednesday in Warriner Hall’s Plachta Auditorium. “It is the drug that kills. It will suck your soul, your life, it is no joke. I put myself in situations that I should have never been in.”

“I still didn’t think I really had a problem until one day I noticed that I couldn’t live without anything in my system,” Spencer said.

I give Chaske huge props for overcoming such a horrible situation and using it to help others who are in it.  To read the rest of this interview click HERE

    Wow, I didn’t know he came to Central Michigan University!!! I would have sooo gone to see him, as it’s only 2 blocks from my house!!!!! Wah!
