Zac Posen Designing Bella’s Wedding Gown?
Posted on 03. Nov, 2010 by Amanda31 in News
Entertainment Tonight is reporting that designer Zac Posen will be creating Bella’s wedding gown for Breaking Dawn.
Zac Posen designed both Portia de Rossi’s gown and her partner Ellen DeGeneres’ suit for their wedding. The designer is also reported to be making the wedding gown for the character of Bella Swan in the ‘Twilight’ films.
You may remember that he was one of the designers who sketched Bella’s dress for InStyle last year (not that this necessarily means this is what Bella’s wedding dress would look like).

Alice would barf. Her idea of honoring Edward’s era is not captured in this dress. Just like them to go with a name and not the story line. I hope the rest of the story isn’t treated so badly after the ~ great job they did with Eclipse.

I hope they keep it true to the book. Actually that whole sequence of alice fussing, rosalie helping, her mom & dad giving her the comb, the wedding with all the flowers and edward showing her to herself in the window. All that was so tender in the story. And they MUST keep with the historical theme of the dress. It was really important to edward for it to be that way.

I’m hoping that if he is the one designing it that it’s not based on this sketch. I mean this instyle article was out like right when if not before New Moon even came out in theathers who knew if when he drew it he’d even read the books to know they could have just called him up and said hey draw us a sketch for Bella’s wedding dress in Twilight and he said ok having no clue what it was supposed to be that there was such a clear vision of the dress and I’m sure if he’s been choosen they’ve talked to him about what it’s supposed to be and givin him the discripion from the books. Let’s not forget that Steph is heavely involved in all matters of the movie and even when she wasn’t officially a producer the producers would consult her whenever they were in doubt.

This dress is much too large. It’s 1918 approx. that we’re working with. The sleeves are much too big. The waist line is much to wide. I picture Bella as having a very lacy, but simple and sedate dress. I also agree with everything Kimberlee W. has said. The elements from the book were very sweet and should be left in for the movie.

I agree with everyone too. The sketch was probably made by the designer without reading the book description. I’m sure it won’t be this.

Think Titanic people, they had some lovely dresses back then…surely there is a way that Bella can surprise Edward with something from “his” era with something not so poofy and maybe soft & lacy. Think Anne of Green Gables, Somewhere in Time movie, and Titanic .
You know what would be the best thing Summit could do? If they were to have a few designers come up with something and the fans vote. Kinda like how the today show has people vote on their weddings they have on their show!

I can’t see the dress he sketched suiting Kristin. She said they had a few designs they were considering but the final decision will be up to Stephenie Meyer, although I’m sure Kristin herself will have a say in the matter.
