“Part of the fascination of the TM site is the way we discover, define, explore, expand, and explain ourselves via something we greatly love. This is similar to what we did as children, in that intense, concentrated form of play where we might not have appeared to be having “fun” but our minds were deeply involved and the synapses were sparking like an electrical storm. Some of what we do on TMs can be very much like school for our brains, but without the onus of obligation. We are there purely out of choice and desire; nothing is required of us except that we enjoy ourselves. That gives us the freedom to relax and remember that part of ourselves that was JUST “ourself,” the essence of the unique individual we were before we were defined by all our many roles.
